Independent artistic research laboratory in uderochromatism
uNRu Lab is an independent artistic laboratory founded in 2025 by Géraldine Santini, artist-researcher and composer.
uNRu Lab is a space for research and experimentation in uderochromatism, an invisual practice based on the exploration of ventral perceptions before they stabilise into image, narrative or emotional category.
Through evolving instruments, experimental protocols, performances, perceptual scores and publications, uNRu explores the transitions between inner perception, gesture, colour, frequency, sound and trace.
PORTFOLIO / ARTISTIC RESEARCH
Géraldine Santini
Artist-author, artist-researcher and composer. Founder of uNRu Lab — Nomadic Research Unit in Uderochromatism.
The portfolio traces the shift from cognitive psychology research on colour toward visual practice, digital creation, instruments of inner musicality, notation systems and sound research.

CURRENT RESEARCH
Forms before they are named
uNRu explores what appears before perception is interpreted or represented. The instruments developed in the laboratory transform ventral perceptions into movement, chromatic structures, frequencies, sounds and traces.
The resulting form acts back upon perception: the instrument itself becomes a space for research.
These experimental investigations aim to bring forth new, original and innovative forms of composition at the intersection of colour, movement, frequency, sound and perception.
RESEARCH IN IMAGES
Traces and emerging forms
Images generated through evolving instruments and performances: sensitive matter, emerging forms and perceptual traces.

FINAL TRACE
Perceptual imprint
An imprint is generated from the cards activated during the performance. It becomes the final trace of a perceptual trajectory.
