Uderums
The Uderums form a family of evolving instruments dedicated to perceptual, chromatic, sonic and gestural exploration. They disrupt compositional projects by shifting established habits through innovative relationships between gesture, colour and sound, allowing new forms of musicality to emerge.
Composing from perception
The Uderum does not begin with a pre-existing score. It provides a space in which a perception can be set in motion and displaced between colours, frequencies, gestures and intensities before stabilising into form.
An instrument without a fixed form
Each interaction transforms the state of the instrument. Composition is therefore not limited to the final result: it develops through the choices, variations, displacements and deviations produced during the experience.
Two compositional spaces
The Matrix Uderum unfolds perception within an expanded compositional space in which colour, frequency, memory and movement can intersect. The Minimal Uderum reduces these parameters to favour a more direct relationship between gesture, colour and transformation.
Evolving instruments
Uderums are not conceived as fixed devices. Their versions, behaviours and compositional modes can evolve through research. The instrument itself becomes a space for experimentation.
